Some things you ought to know about scented geraniums: When brushed or rubbed, the foliage emits a citrusy, floral, minty, or resinous perfume, depending on the species or cultivar. Loose, open clusters of small white, pink, mauve, or lilac flowers on branching stalks add color in spring or summer.
These plants can be grown as border specimens or backgound shrubs; the sprawling types can be used as ground covers or trained against trellises. Scented geraniums can also be treated like summer bedding plants or grown in containers or hanging baskets; they also do well year round as houseplants.

Growing and Care:
